Winston-Salem Monthly - May 2014
Dear Dr. Anne,
Summer starts in just a few weeks, which means bathing suit and shorts wearing season is not far way ... yikes! I eat right and exercise, and nothing really seems to work to get rid of these lumps and dents on my legs. What can I do to get rid of them?
Dimples are cute on a face, though not really cute on the rest of the body, are they? It sounds like what you're describing is cellulite. Did you know 82% of women report having some degree of cellulite? And while it appears to be on the skin's surface, cellulite is really a structural problem below the skin, caused by fibrotic bands that pull down on the skin. Heredity, gender and hormones all impact cellulite formation. And, as you've seen firsthand, cellulite isn't a fat problem. It can appear on a toned body like yours. Covering up its unsightliness with clothing has been the only real way to make it disappear ... Until now.
NOW, with the Cellulaze™ cellulite reduction treatment, you can combat this pesky problem with a onetime, minimally-invasive, FDA-cleared procedure, with long lasting results!
Performed under local anesthesia, it takes only a few hours, and the results are astounding - two years of clinical research has proven that Cellulaze™ can increase the skin's elasticity by 29%. Some results are immediate, with optimal results in 3-6 months. 100% of patients surveyed were satisfied or very satisfied with their results one year after procedure, and ALL would recommend the Cellulaze™ treatment to a friend!
To see if you're a candidate for this incredible new procedure, call us today for your consultation, and no longer dread baring your skin, no matter what the season!
How to Get Lovely Legs for Summer

Dear Dr. Anne,
I've never had legs like Carrie Underwood's, but they've looked nice enough for me to confidently wear shorts and skirts in spring and summer. Not this year! I can see freckles, old scars from shaving, and bursts of veins all over my legs. What can you recommend for getting my legs ready for summer?

How to Get Enchanting Eyes
Forsyth Woman - March 2014

This time of year, even with the official start of spring less than a month away, we may find ourselves feeling down, or maybe even a lot older (when we’re not), and looking it, too. Time waits for no man ... or woman. Inwardly, we may start to feel aches and pains we never had before and due to little exertion. The passing of time is also evidenced outwardly by the skin on our bodies, especially our faces. Does the face peering back at you from the mirror look tired, worried, or angry, when you’re not? Take another look in the mirror - a good long look - and you’ll likely see why.
The effects of aging are typically first noticeable around the eyes, where skin is... Read more
Dear Dr. Anne,
My skin looks as gray, flat and dull as my garden does in winter. I need some color! Wearing more blusher makes it worse, and indoor tanning isn't good for me, from what I've been reading. What healthy ways can I give my skin a mid-winter boost?
Outstanding job on passing up indoor tanning as a viable cure for the winter blahs! The rise in skin cancer rates happens to coincide with the growth of indoor tanning. People who tan indoors are 74 percent more likely to develop melanoma, 2.5 times more likely to develop squamous cell carcinoma, and 1.5 times more likely to develop basal cell carcinoma than non-tanners. Indoor tanning is not an option that anyone in the medical community would recommend.
