Juvederm Vollure® North Carolina
Treating Facial Lines and Wrinkles in Winston-Salem
Allergan, the pharmaceutical company that owns Juvederm and the maker of BOTOX Cosmetic, has introduced its newest hyaluronic acid dermal filler, Juvederm Vollure XC, which has been approved for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. What's more is that this filler lasts as long as 18 months - a full year longer than other injectables on the market.
Parentheses lines are static lines that appear around your nose and mouth when your face is at rest. This happens over time as your skin loses some of the building blocks (hyaluronic acid and collagen) that give the skin its structure.
Juvéderm Vollure XC uses special technology, known as Vycross to hold the hyaluronic acid together into a cohesive gel, which keeps it intact after it's injected into the skin while more malleable and easier to inject, further improving the outcome.
What Juvederm Vollure XC injections can do for you
The fact that Vollure lasts so long makes it very appealing to those who want to "fill it and forget it". Clinical study results of 18 months are based on optimal correction. Results may vary. Vollure for moderate to severe lines in the mid face:
- Laugh Lines (Parentheses lines)
- Marionette Lines
- Horizontal Chin Lines
How is Vollure different from Voluma?
Vollure maintains correction and also allows easy movement in the treated area with a molecule weight mix specific for this area. Voluma is weighted a little heavier than Vollure and is not quite as elastic in nature. Volume replacement in the cheek is not subject to the same repeated movements in the mouth area, so a filler that's a little stiffer, like Voluma, works best for cheek augmentation.
Generally, you can expect the denser fillers to be used in areas that require deeper levels of product injection and thinner fillers to be used in areas that are frequently mobile.
Juvederm's four formulas, Juvederm XC (lines and folds), Volbella (lips and lip lines), Vollure (mid face moderate to severe lines) and Voluma (cheeks) all are designed to give you the best results in the areas they have been developed for. For example, a patient with deflated cheeks, deep lines around the mouth and loss of lip volume would benefit from a combination of Voluma, Vollure, and Volbella.
