Emily: Dr. Anne, I am really happy with the fillers I had in my face last month, but now I am noticing that my earlobes are wrinkled and my earrings are drooping down towards the floor instead of facing straight forward like they used to. My wrinkled, drooping earlobes are making me look old and no one can see my pretty earrings anymore. Is there anything you can do to help me?

Dr. White: Great question, Emily! We spend a lot of time in Cosmetic Surgery rejuvenating our patients' faces, with fillers, lasers, Botox and topical creams. Then, after we have nicely rejuvenated the face, we start to notice other telltale signs of aging: wrinkled, drooping earlobes, loose, saggy skin on the neck, and age spots, crepey skin and dilated veins on the hands. So we have developed procedures to rejuvenate those areas as well.

My preference with the earlobes is to inject Restylane, a clear gel that restores volume. The procedure is done in my office and we apply topical numbing before and after the injection so that it is practically painless. Volume creates lift, so that the earlobes can once again support your earrings nicely. You have spent a lot of money on your pretty earrings, so you want to be able to see them!
