Holly: I like the shape of my lips but I would like to make them a little fuller. What would you recommend?

Dr. White: The lips are the focus of the lower face just as the eyes are the focus of the upper face. Thin, tight lips connote meanness. Downturned lipcorners connote sternness and displeasure, the school marm look.

Beautiful lips are full like Scarlett Johannsen's and Ashton Kutcher's, with a good upper lip to lower lip ratio, upturned corners, upper lip eversion (the lip rolls out and not in), 2 tubercles in the central lower lip, and a well-defined border. Balance is important with the lips. We want the lips to be in harmony with the rest of the face.

In your case, Holly, I would likely use Restylane or Juverdem to augment the size of your lips without changing the shape, definition, or surrounding structures. Both are made from hyaluronic acid, a normal component of the dermis. The result is natural and luminous.

One caveat. Please go to a cosmetic surgeon who is experienced in lip augmentation. Not all cosmetic surgeons are. Experience matters! I hope to see you soon so I can give you the kissable lips you've always wanted.
